General Arrangements for Coaches and Players

1) Dress for coaches: Running shoes, chino shorts, St David’s golf shirt and coaches’ cap.
Coaches not in the correct gear will be sent home to change.

2) Dress for players: Running shoes (or slops at poolside), school shorts, white school
golf/tennis shirt and school cap.

3) Present your coaching time sheet for payment to S Gaffney on or before the 18th of every
month.

4) No practices or fixtures may be canceled without the permission of S Gaffney.

5) Players may not be in the water if you can hear thunder.

6) A daily register of attendance must be filled in before, or after, every practice and
submitted with your claim on the 18th of every month.

7) All players absent must be followed up by the coach with the MIC of the age group who will
follow up at the school.

8) Coaches do table, referee and coaching duty at games for the duration of the fixture.

9) Coaches are to be present at the first match and stay until the last match. Even if it is not
their team playing.

10) Coaches may only leave the fixture with the permission of the MIC on duty.

11) Coaches will be responsible for the balls in their possession.

12) Players who are relegated out of teams must be handled with sensitivity. 13) Coaches are
to be exemplary in their poolside behavior. Coaches are not to verbally abuse players or
referees at a water polo fixture or practice at any time.

14) Coaches must control their emotions as their behavior is often copied and exaggerated by
the players.

15) All coaches will do bus duty and pool set-up and pack-up duty when the MIC Water Polo
requests.

16) Coaches may not smoke at poolside or in front of players.

17) When an injury occurs, the coach may not leave the player to his own devices. The coach is
to also submit a report to the MIC Sport by the next day that contains the time, venue,
persons involved, contact numbers and what happened when the injury took place.

18) Coaches must arrive at least 10 min before each practice and 30 minutes before each
match.

19) Coaches are to complete and submit the administration form attached the form to S Gaffney
asap.

20) Coaches are to set up a sms system by which they are able to contact every player of their
team in case of last minute changes to fixtures or other urgent information.
